Real or Made Up?
Let's play a game! Here are different texts — some were written by AI, some by real people. Can you guess who wrote what?
Roses are red, violets are blue, AI writes poems, but does it have a clue?
The Honest Truth
Did you guess wrong on some? That's totally normal! Because here's an important insight:
It's getting harder and harder to tell AI text apart from human text. Modern AI can make up personal stories, describe feelings, and even crack jokes — even though it hasn't actually experienced or felt any of it.
!What does this mean for you?
Don't try to guess whether a text was written by AI. Even adults often can't do that anymore. Instead: Check the content!
Three Questions That Really Help
Instead of asking "Is this from AI?", ask these instead:
1. Is what it says actually true? Can you verify the facts? In a book, an encyclopedia, or on a trustworthy website?
2. Who wrote this and why? Is there a name? A source? Or is the text just "there" with no origin?
3. Does it sound too perfect? Real people make mistakes, sometimes contradict themselves, or express things awkwardly. But careful: even this isn't a reliable sign anymore!
▶Why is this so important?
Every day on the internet, you find texts, images, and videos. Some are by humans, some by AI — and some are a mix. The most important skill isn't guessing the source, but questioning the content. That's called media literacy — and you need it more than ever today!
