Your Turn!

You now know what good prompts look like. But the best part is still to come: You can try it out yourself!

!Try it together!

Important: AI programs like ChatGPT and Claude are only allowed for ages 13 and up. An adult should operate the program — and you watch the screen together!

Cool Prompts to Try

Here are some ready-made prompts you can test with an adult. Just copy them or type them in:

🐉 Funny Stories

"Write a story about a dragon who hates math and hides from word problems."

🏴‍☠️ Learning, but Different

"Explain photosynthesis to me as if you were a pirate telling a story about an island."

🐱🐬 Fantasy Animals

"Invent a new animal that's half cat and half dolphin. What's its name? Where does it live? What does it eat?"

🎤 Rap & Rhymes

"Write a rap about homework that sounds really cool."

🧙 Adventures

"Write the beginning of an adventure where I end up in a magical library where the books are alive."

▶Want to know more?

Here are more ideas you can try:

  • "Explain to me why the sky is blue — but as if you were an alien seeing it for the first time."
  • "Write a conversation between a pizza and a burger arguing about who's more delicious."
  • "Invent a superhero animal: What can it do? Who's its arch-enemy?"
  • "Write me 5 jokes about school that even adults would find funny."
  • "Explain the solar system to me as if each planet were a student in a classroom."

Important Rules When Trying It Out

  1. Always with an adult — AI is a tool, not a toy to use unsupervised
  2. Don't enter personal information — Don't tell the AI your real name, your address, or your school
  3. Don't believe everything — AI can talk nonsense too (more on that in the next section!)
  4. Have fun! — Experiment, try crazy things, and see what happens

iTip

If the AI's answer wasn't what you wanted — just ask again! For example, you can write: "That was good, but make it funnier" or "Explain it even more simply."
